Surgical Haemostats
GS Medical Healthcare (GSMH) has a Full Range of Topical ORC Haemostats:
- Pahacel is a Generic Oxidised Regenerated Cellulose (ORC) Hemostat product and is Latex free. Rapid haemostasis is achieved within 2-3 minutes.
- Working with in excess of 20 UK NHS Hospital Trusts and Private Healthcare providers, GSMH has been able to show significant cost savings and efficiencies in their current Hemostat spend.
- Pahacel is a Rayon Based ORC which can be sutured and will not stick to Surgical Instruments or become gelated during haemostasis. It can be removed intact or is fully absorbed (within 7-14 days) when left in-situ.
- Pahacel is available in Standard, Fibrilar, Knit and Pillow (Surgical Non-Woven) formats.
Open Surgery

Laparoscopic
Our German manufactured laparoscopic instruments have been developed together with surgeons to be as ergonomic and user-friendly as possible. Of particular importance is the cost-effectiveness and sustainability of the devices: All individual parts are interchangeable. Thanks to this modular design, the instruments can be easily exchanged and modified to suit all purposes. Overall, fewer instruments are necessary, and the ones you require can be used in the most optimal way.
We can supply a full range of highly specified Telescopes as well as ergonomically designed Hand Instruments, which are available for both standard and for sub 3mm port access.
Gynecology
In Gynecology, more procedures than ever are now being undertaken via laparoscopy. Patients can benefit from faster recovery, better pain relief and improved cosmetic results after procedures with our Gynaecology instruments and systems. GSMH offers a full range of German made Resectoscopes and supplies the Alpha-Hysteroscope accessories to support the Alphascope (Hysteroscope).
Urology
GSMH offers a range of ergonomic and efficient instruments for urology, which are the ideal support for surgery. With a complete range of German manufactured Continuous Flow Resectoscopes and Telescopes we offer superior ergonomics and smooth resection. Our range also includes Laser Resectoscopes, Uretero-Renoscopes and Cystoscope-Urethroscopes. All with superior optics and performance.
Surgical Cameras
The 4K UHD AlphaNovoCam Endoscopic Camera manufactured in Germany offers excellent resolution and provides bright, clear and ultra high definition pictures, due to its 3MOS technology which enables visualization of even the most detailed structures. The integrated digital image processor ensures consistently high-quality images with remarkable contrast and natural colours. The camera Head has 4 programmable buttons which can be adapted for individual requirements. A full range of camera coupling devices as well as Surgical Insufflator and Light Source/Light Leads is also available. Integrating the Full HD medical grade monitors onto the custom made Cart makes this the Surgical Camera Stack of choice.
Containers
A full range of high quality, German manufactured Instrument containers is available from GSMH. In order to increase the strength of the aluminium container against external effects and corrosion the surface has been plated as “Anodised Aluminium Plate” using an electro chemical process. Wound Protectors
The ViClean™ Height Adjustable Wound Protector Range incorporates both Rigid and Flexible Ring options to meet all Surgical requirements in Gastrointestinal, Hepatopancreatobiliary, Gynaecolology and Colo-Rectal surgery. Also available is the Wound Protector with attached drape and waste collection, which is ideal for Open, Minimally Invasive, Thyroid and Gynae (C-Section) use.
The Wound Protector with in-built Drape/waste collection can also reduce potential contamination from Surgical Site Infection or from amniotic fluid during C-Section.
- Wound Protectors offer a 360° Circumferential Retraction for maximum exposure with minimal incisions.
- Hands-Free retraction reduces associated patient pain

Diathermy
GSMH supply a wide range of Surgical Diathermy consumables including single-use Diathermy Patient Pads and Diathermy Pencils.
Our Diathermy Pads are available for Neonatal and Paediatrics (Split Pad with attached Diathermy Cable) and for Adults (Split Pad with or without attached Diathermy Cable)
Our Diathermy Pencils are designed with the surgeon in mind:
- Slim and lightweight, streamlined, tapered, and ergonomic design
- Slip-proof handling and water-resistant Rocker or Push-Button Switch
- Buttons designed for smooth activation
- Equipped with a range of monopolar cutting and coagulation electrodes to satisfy all user requirements
- With a hexagonal shape protecting against inadvertent twisting, electrodes can be locked safely into place and are easily exchanged
